Y'all remember the part at the very beginning of this movie where this mysterious guy in a black robe comes, kisses his finger-tips and then uses those "kissed finger-tips" to touch the ground?
After that, he turns into a bunch of crows that fly away.
Then the ground starts cracking and out comes Gabriel.
So who is this dude?
I think that was Lucifer (from the first movie). If I remember correctly, he says "Hell is not big enough for two of us". Something along those lines.
Also, later on in the movie, someone says to Gabriel that not even Lucifier wanted him (maybe that was in the 3rd movie, I can't really remember now).
it wasn't the same person as in the first ovie, in the first movie lucifer is played by viggo mortensen, but he refused the role in the second movie. But the guy whit the black robe is Lucifer.

yea thats also probably why they dont show his face, they just do the close up and then his back, and he kinda looks like viggo; although i dont know why viggo wouldnt do the cameo
shareIt was Lucifer, played by Viggo in the first one. Looks like he didn't come back for this film. Too bad, he was great as the devil in the first one. See if you haven't already. That's why they didn't show his face. Anyway, in the first one, he beats Gabriel's butt and drags him off to hell.
