Towards the end of the movie when Arthur/Kurt gets identified by the Holocaust survivor in the hospital, what was the significance of The Jeffersons? I've only watched the movie once, but I couldn't help but notice that they cut away to the show on the tv a few times as the survivor had his revelation. Was there any significance in the dialogue in the show? Or am I just looking too much into it?

I think they are trying to convey time frame. The Jeffersons was on network TV at the time this was happening.

I think it was just to hint that the other German patient was not a Nazi (being that The Jeffersons are black he would not liked them if he was) and of course it would eventually turn out to be a jew who was at the camp where the Nazi worked
