An AMAZING achievement by Robert Duvall

Wow.

The Apostle is one of the best films ever made--and I mean that quite literally, I'm not being hyperbolic--and it's amazing to think that Duvall was able to do so much himself to bring this to life. It is absolutely one of the greatest explorations of faith and human nature, and the way the two intersect, that I have ever seen.

While I was raised in a Christian household, I no longer consider myself as such. However, when I watch this film, it really makes me miss my former life of faith.

It's unfortunate that he wasn't able to follow it up with other great films. Assassination Tango was just okay, and I've heard that Wild Horses is not very good.
