Serone's plan at the end

So what exactly did Serone plan to do if he managed to successfully trap and tranquilize the snake? Drag a snake which must weigh literally more than a ton back to the boat by himself? As if that would do any good...there's no way that thing would fit on that little boat anyway. With that in mind, going back over the plot of the whole film, it would seeem that while he thought all the little details of his scheme through pretty well, he might've been missing the big picture...no pun intended.

There seemed to be quite a few tools in that shed, he probably could've used a crane or something to lift the thing onto the boat. That or heavily sedate it, trap it (so it can't move) and then take the boat to get help and bring back more men/equipment.

But yah I dunno. I think he also wanted to just get rid of the crew at that point. He knew the snake was there and he was already a murderer from the team's point of view. So get rid of the people via snake, try and trap it/sedate it, and then go get the natives to help him or maybe there was some machinery we didn't see?

I'm not sure either... maybe he was just hell bent to execute his plan and not planning too far ahead?
