She didn't even cry when she found out he died

I really thought the movie was good..I loved the story of her n Dice..but what I can't assimilate or even understand how can u love some1 that much, n when u find out that he died u go n sing..I mean, I think any normal person wud've lost it even for an hour..she didn't even cry:S..basically what I loved in this movie was their love story and the songs..bye4now..chichi..

good point but i think it was because if she started to cry she would break down and then there wouldn't be any show and every thing they worked for would be gone ..i dunno but i was kinda dispointed that she didn't cry .. i mean in the begining of the song she looked sad but then she looked ok

I think she went up and sang for him... that's what he would've wanted. :)

The movie was ending and there was a song written into the latter part of the movie. The script may have even had her crying, or singing in a very mournful way, but chances are that the rigorous dynamic of film shooting crossed with the poor acting skills of the talent is the reason you feel that the scene is awkward.

Right. She's jumped so many sharks with crappy performances and disgusting cosmetic appearances, I don't think that she'll get any recognition unless she's an Oscar contender, which is obviously not going to happen.

Two problems with you point are that Faith Hill is kind of a hack, and John Goodman is always going to be awesome.

You use the term "blockbuster" in a very loose fashion. Pearl Harbor was not a commercial success in the theater, but I do know what you mean.

Yeah, it was more as if her cat had died rather than her boyfriend.

Faith is a hack, lol. John Goodman RocKs!! AND I lost FAith in Faith Hill when she didn't get her award and lost to the Awesome Carrie and threw a tantrum like a 2 year old, lol. Hate to be a downer, lol, but Dice Sucked in a major way!! The movie was good but he was so Yuck!! He is a bad actor! I wouldn't have cried, either.

the thing about that is you have to read in between the lines.
since they met he said that he would get her all the way to play a show a MSG.
if she had cried she probably wouldve broken down and the concert wouldve been over with and thats not what dice would have wanted for her.

as for her singing, did you not realize what she was singing? it was the song that they wrote "together". she was writing the lyrics and he was writing the melody? remember that scene?
so there's more behind her singing that song than anything.

and her speech at the beginning of the song? brilliant!

with the scene when she's reading his letter, even though she didn't break down, she was crying. and that scene made me cry so i really loved that scene. the fact that she didn't break down made the scene not as cliche.

so as an overall, you can't take her not breaking down crying seriously. you have to see the symbolic way in which she tried to remember dice.

i loved this movie. it's one of MY tops.

bye!

Hahahahah! Anyways, back to the topic. So what if she didn't cry? Could have been in shock so it would come later or you know what, some people just don't react like that. Not all people are the same.
