Alien: Resurrection was the worst thing to ever happen to cinema

This piece of *beep* was a complete bastardization of Dan O'Bannon and HR Giger's original concepts.. and it made it acceptable for movie sequels to completely deviate from source material.

They ruined Giger's genius design from the first film, they oversexualized the creatures to the point where there was no subtlety anymore.. and worst of all; the plot was completely and utterly nonsensical. Cloning a human with an alien inside them? DNA doesn't work like that.. it was a ridiculous idea even for a science fiction franchise. The moment they used that plot device, they turned the franchise into a cartoon.

I hope Ridley goes out of his way to retcon this piece of trash with his sequels, because Alien: Resurrection is far worse than AVP.

At least with AVP, there's a clear line where we can choose to accept it as canon or not.. but with this trash, it blended in with the original movie in a twisted, insulting way and RUINED mainstream audiences' perceptions of the xenomorph.

Thank God Ridley Scott came back to repair this franchise, because by the time he's done.. nobody will view Alien: Resurrection as canon.

Even HR Giger himself said the xenomorphs in this movie looked like a giant piece of ****. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOeBJuqzl-U
