They should have never made any other movies after the first one.

I remember watching this when I was 6 and thinking how absolutely amazing this movie was. It had so much charm an instant classic feel good movie. But they ruined it by making it into a franchise. I never even watched the second one where he plays football because even at a young age I could tell it was a stupid idea. Now with all these stupid "Air Buddies" straight to DVD movies coming out every year it just further drives my point. Oh well. At least we'll always have this one.

I thought Air Bud Golden Receiver was better than the other sequels I always liked the first one. I think some of the Air Buddies movies are kind of dull.

They unfortunately got progressively worse. Golden Receiver (the football one) and World Pup (soccer) weren't too bad. Then they made the MVP movies with Kevin Zegers & the chimp who played hockey, etc. I thought the first one was decent. It's just the same recycled story each time, so it gets fairly predictable and less entertaining. Never seen the Air Buddies movies, but they look horrible. Anything to make a dollar, I guess.

I agree. They should of left it at the first one. It was amazing. Watching it as a child I absolutely adored it. I never even watched the other ones.
