the first coach

Did anyone else laugh really hard when they saw the first coach pelting one of the kids with basketballs? Granted, this really isn't something that was meant to be funny, but I couldn't help laughing. They really needed to transition into that scene a little better. Either way, my roommate and I were cracking up last night.

reply

No. I did not laugh cause it was not at all funny.

Come on, man. It popped up out of nowhere. You've never laughed at anything for the sake of how obscene or horrible it is?

reply

That guy didn't know crap about coaching.

reply

I didn't think it was funny. It always seems that male role models in these kids films are just terrible. Look at Larry's father for example.

reply

Sorry but i really don't understand how could a man molesting a young boy is funny. It wasn't.

i agree with whoever said it wasn't funny at all. and with the person that said that the coach didn't know how to coach at all. ofcourse that 1st coach didn't. he looked like a loser. but then after the principal fired him as a gym teacher and coach i'm glad that kid finally got off his feet to ask her if he can bring up a suggestion. and then suggested arthur chaney. i wonder if there was a player named arthur chaney in real life for the new york knicks back then.
at least they got a guy that new the game better. and knows how to treat kids right and teach them how to play a real game. unlike the first coach who didn't know how to teach a cat how to meow.

Would you like so much if you were in third or fourth grade & teachers do not accept you, when your parent(s) moved you to a completely new environment?
By the way, the Timberwolf, that was being mistreated, by P. E. coach, Joe Barker, was "Tom Stewart" & uniform # 15. Buddy's keen ears overheard the noise and mis-treating, the same evening, that Buddy made school fame, as the basketball, that was in Josh's arm, Buddy popped up and into the hoop.
About 5 minutes after Buddy got famous, Buddy led Principal Pepper to Joe Barker continiously mis-treating Tom Stewart, leading to Barker, being fired, by Principal Pepper!

reply

And in came Arthur Chaney, who made everyone work together.

reply

Larry didn't like him.

reply

I would not find it funny either that was mean and horrible. I thought the second coach was a lot nicer.

reply

Nicer and knew the right fundamentals of coaching.
