A five? This little gem deserves more than that; it's a sweet little film full of heart, decent acting and a cute dog. Plus the story, for its time, is pretty fresh! It deserves a seven at least.

shareI was also surprised by the rating, not sure what happened there. Maybe it was only good to those of us who grew up with it, I dunno. But a five point something seems quite low for a solid family flick like this. It's sappy and manipulative, yes, but it's also well made and a lot of fun if your a dog owner. I've seen way worse movies with higher scores...
