when josh lefted him at that island place and josh started crying?and then he threw the ball and buddy went to chase it and he tryed to get to josh by swimming.as a kid that made me tear up real bad:( but good thing buddy got back to him:)

shareI completely agree, how awful is that to leave that poor, innocent, and sweet animal alone and stranded. I cried like a baby at that scene.

Yes, that scene is truly heartbreaking. Never fails to make me cry, it's so sad. But at least Buddy returns to him, so the ending is happy.

shareI cried, but I was also kind of mad that Josh left Buddy stranded only going on the hope that someone would find him. Who knows how long Buddy would survive in the wild. I feel like there were better options than what Josh did, but since he is a kid, I suppose we have to forgive him. Also, what's up the others on the boat? They had to notice he was ditching the dog..
