I just saw this movie in my MBA class and not to sound harsh, but perhaps you missed the point of the movie.
The movie illustrates group dynamics and effective leadership practices, which can be applied to a business situation. When participating or leading a business team you're going to get that dynamic happening- you're going to get the bully who tries to dominate everything (played by Scott). You're going to get the ineffective leader at times- such as the jury foreman, you're going to get the old man whose appeals are largely emotional, and you're going to get the stock broker who makes decisions based on facts. You also have an illustration of the best leadership potential in Jack Lemon. He never criticizes others or gets personal- he never even gives his opinion as "Guilty or innocent" other than in votes. All he does is says he wants to talk about it a little more, and doesn't dominate the discussion, but leads it.
Additionally- the movie is a perfect illustration of how groups operate from a task versus socioemotional point of view, and how the group interacts in the two frames and how the two frames impact one another.
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the movie even from a perspective where you learn about team management for business.
