I used to like this show

I thought this show was hilarious when it first came on. I grew up with The Wonder Years. It was great seeing Fred Savage. It was nice when 'Winnie' geust starred.

When I saw re-runs later I wondered what I was thinking. It was unfunny and stupid.

When I first saw this show I thought it was very good too except for......Fred Savage. Its rare for the everything to be strong about a show except the Star but I felt the pace of this show left him standing still. The cast had great rhythm and energy and Fred Savage was gasping to keep up...which he never did. the plot was funny and enetertaining too, but Savage to me was the weakest part of the show

Couldn't agree more. I loved this show when I caught it on USA reruns around 2000. The only problem it had, aside from losing half the cast after the first season, was Fred Savage himself. He was completely miscast and never really fit with the pace or tone of the show. He always looked like he was acting. Pity....

I used to watch reruns on USA. It was OK, but I basically just made it through it for the good shows in the morning comedy block -- Wings and Fired Up.

The first season was very good. The second, not so funny. Fred Savage was having a bit of a hard time on this series, I agree with others here. He could be humorous, but his timing was often *off* and he seemed awkward sometimes.

I liked some of "The Wonder Years", as I grew up watching it. But looking back on it, a lot of the episodes are just plain dull. And even then Fred Savage was having a hard time...sometimes. He usually did well.
But the entire cast of "The Wonder Years" seemed unsynchronized to me.

"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."
