Although I found the show very entertaining, I have the feeling that many people thought it was just plain dumb. Although there were many loyal fans, I just don't think there were enough to keep it on television, let alone, this show was also aimed towards many adults and was only show on Saturday mornings. It may have had a better chance if it had been on in a later time slot, or maybe the world just wasn't ready for a Weird Al Show at the time. All I know is I was very saddened when it was taken off the air and have been hoping it would be released on DVD the past few years. This show is a cult classic and was enjoyed by Al fans everywhere. It may not have lived forever on T.V., but it will live forever in my heart and on my DVD player!

Listen to the audio commentaries for all 13 episodes and you'll find out exactly why the show didn't last. The network didn't support it or promote it at all. And they made some crazy decisions that altered the show from Al's vision.

CBS didn't promote it at all, but I watch it a lot.

Even if Saturday morning shows for kids hadn't been canceled, this show wouldn't have made it to a second season. I like it too.

Maybe it's because that alot of people don't like Weird Al. He may be famous and a big name, but he's not as popular.
This was one of my favorite shows when i was like 8. my friend and i never missed it.

In his biography "Weird Al" The Book, Al was forced by the network to have lessons learned in every episode. He mentions that he wanted his show to be entertaining, to talk with kids, not to talk down to them or be condescending.

So the angry ripping of the notes after being read was a silent "up yours!" to the network.
