Somehow I never saw this, was it any good?

I saw a box set of every episode of this in the shops today.
I love police dramas and thought I had seen most of them but I don't recall this at all.

Despite having Robson Green in it I wonder if it is any good?

This series was positively riveting, though not for the faint of heart. The acting ensemble works beautifully. I just wish they had made more episodes. I thoroughly recommend Touching Evil to anyone who adores classic British cop dramas.

I rank Cracker, Prime Suspect, and Touching Evil (in that order) as the best 3 crime dramas I have ever seen. I find Robson Green a bit irritating, but the show transcends the actor: He becomes the character, Dave Creegan. T.E is an intriguing head-trip. Any fan of the genre will be rewarded for taking the time to watch.

It's awesome. INCREDIBLY dark. I saw "The Lost Boys" as a teenager and imported the DVDs from the US as an adult. It's the kind of TV that stays with you.

It's a fantastic series. . .I loved it. Robson Green's later series Wire In The Blood is a lot like Touching Evil.
