Can someone please shed some light on this, did Ronald Hinks kidnap the three boys to do genetic experiments on them for Kesslar?

One of the children said he felt his hair being pulled and also earlier on when Creegan was questioning Hinks at Hinks's house Hinks said he wasn't in control of 'the game' it was almost as if he wanted to tell Creegan what was going on but just couldn't.

I just watched this episode and I'm not too sure either about the sellotape on hair the boy described, Hinks must have taken hair samples for some reason.
But as far as I could make out, Hinks primary motive was to recreate the same feeling he experienced as an 11 yr old watching his friend slowly die beneath the ice. He chooses boys of similar age and appearance, locks them in air proof rooms and watches via camera their slow tortuous death. This is his sick game.

I stumbled across this show again on yt this morning. The line about the boy's hair being pulled made me wonder, "Why was that included, what was that about?". I am keen to get my hands on the original UK region 2 version of Touching Evil and see the extra content that was likely missing. All I've ever seen these past 16 years is the American "PBS Mystery" version.

I have the R1 version i bought when on holiday in the US about 8 years ago, I didn't know the US version may be different.

I have just checked on Yootube and there are episodes uploaded, some of them have different names to the R1 dvds i have.

Maybe that might solve the Mystery? ;)
