Haven't seen an episode of this in years, but does anyone know if they ever made reference to the superior Van Damme movie version? Like did they ever reference his Max Walker character or anything? Thanks.

Was Gene Matuzak a character in the movie

Yes, he was played by Bruce Gill. I believe he was referred to by the full name "Eugene", though, rather than just Gene. He was Max Walker's friend and the head of the TEC.

Actually, the actor's name is Bruce McGill.
