I don't ever recall it actually airing. The only reason I know anything about it was cause I used to work for a Market Research firm and they would air pilot TV programs ask people to watch them and call back to do a survey and I remember one of them was Timecop.
It aired as a lead-in to Monday Night Football on ABC back in 1997. But the show had no promotion at all, and was incredibly expensive to make... so after the first 5 episodes aired, it was cancelled and pulled from the lineup. Production finished on the 4 remaining episodes that were filmed, and they were burned off on the network later in the summer, when all the networks were looking for new content to fill the rerun void (back in the 90s, networks didn't have new shows made for the summer, or reality series to clog up the airwaves. They would just rerun shows throughout the year until the new season started. Regardless, the first episode re-aired on July 4, 1998, with episodes 6 and 7 airing the weeks before, and 8 and 9 airing the weeks after. Then it was gone... until the SciFi Channel picked it up for reruns a few years later.
