Which character did you liked or disliked?

I liked Bette, she was funny and so egosentric at times that it just became funny. Then I liked Meg, she was often good and sweet (and beautiful). Annie was also a watchable character, because she switched so easily to be evil or cookie and both Gregory's and Virginia' slyness also made the show. Mark was also likeable and symphatetic. And Casey was gorgeous.

Those I didn't liked were Caitlin, she was spoiled and completely annoying and so was Meg's sister, Sarah (despite she was gorgeous). I didn't liked Ricardo either, because I found him whimpy. And I never understood why the girls were into Ben, sure, he was handsome, but nothing beyond that (though I liked that there were some mystery about if he did or didn't killed Maria and Derek came along). Melinda Fall was beyond annoying.

Bette is the BEST ONE!!!! Kathleen Noone is marvelous she played her character with fun, emotion and the combination is a total charm!

Meg & Casey could make a better couple and were almost one once in the show!!!

Mark was killed too soon!!!

Paula and Elena are let go too soon!!!

Greg, Olivia, Annie are totaly insane and funny!!!

Cole have a lot of potential, but Caitlin was always whimpy!

Sean Richards was totally boring!!! If he was not the Boss' Son (Aaron Spelling) I'm sure than the character were supposed to be killed or recast with a REAL actor!!!

reply

Yeah, I agree that Meg and Casey were a better couple, although Meg and Ben were cute together.

Who was Elena?

reply

Paula & Cole's mother played by Leigh Taylor-Young!

reply

Wasn't her name Elaine?

reply

Ben and Meg belong together and Casey and Sara belong together.

I belong to Jesus: my Lord, Savior, my eternity, my everything. I love you, Jesus!

The only character I absolutely adored was Meg, especially the way she was early on. She was such a happy, goofy person, although she did make a slightly odd impression at times. She was sweet, forgiving, and a very good friend - in the beginning, even to Annie.

I did like the entire Surf Central gang - put together, they were such a charming bunch. Although, I did find Rae a little unnerving. She didn't blend that well with the others.

I didn't like Caitlin either, sorry to say. She had a rather unflattering attitude, and although the character never really acted on it, I couldn't shake the feeling that she didn't think all that much of some of the people around her.

Maria - I could never stand that one. I found her plain and uninteresting. I was never convinced by Ben's supposedly passionate love for her. With Meg, it all seemed to add up.

As for Ben, I'd have to agree. He was good looking and nice enough, but he did put Meg through an awful lot of trouble. On and off, I sorta hoped Meg and Casey would get together. They were really cute even as friends, and very, very close.

I guess the only villain I really liked was Derek - he was really cool, especially the second time around. It would have been ... interesting, at least, to see him and Meg as a couple.

reply

I like your point of views - especially that one about Caitlin didn't concerned about other people than herself (except Cole and Trey).

I gotta agree that Maria was plain, but I didn't found her all uninteressting. She was a sweet, smart and likeable girl, but she had her moments where she were all whimpy.

Another characters I found plain were Michael and Vanessa; they were nice people, though, but uninteresting, despite I felt sorry for Vanessa, especially cause her mother was suffering from the same disease that Virginia put her through.

I kinda liked Gabi at the beginning, because she was naughty, but after she had sex with Antonio, Ricardo's brother, she became whimpy. Amy, Sean's girlfriend, was beyond annoying.

I kinda liked Tim, dr. Tyus and Eddie too. Casey's mom, Alex, was a lovable character. And Jude Kavanaugh (If I wrote his name correctly) was amusing.

reply

I have to agree about Michael and Vanessa - they did have a boring streak. I was never that interested in them as a couple. Although, I have to admit that Vanessa started off as a rather cool, strong character, only to somewhere along the way turn into a goggly eyed, jealous romantic. I prefered her the way she used to be.

I did like Antonio, he was cute and a good guy. I always used to think him and Gabi made much more sense as a couple than her and Ricardo.

Bette's daughter Emily was a sweetheart, but I never really got to know her that well. And A.J. was such a gentleman. He was really good to Olivia when he came into the show.

But the horrid Tess - I could have ripped her to shreds any day of the week.

reply

Wasn't Antonio the priest Gabby slept with?

reply

Yes, he was

reply

I agree with you about Tess, though I shall admit that I haven't seen the first episodes of Sunset Beach, so I didn't saw all the moments with Rae. But I agree that she stood a little bit out from the rest of the Surf Central gang, but she wasn't a blend character.

reply

I liked:

Ben(so cool and mysterious)
Ricardo(only the 2 first years)
Gregory
Olivia
Meg
Annie
Venessa
Derek(best villain ever on SB)
Rae(she actually made Casey tolerable)
Paula(sexy and strong woman)
Elanie
Catilin(the original I liked alot)
Cole(Eddie Cibrian only!)

I couldnt stand

Casey(the "actor" was HORRIBLE! and that ruined it for me)
Virginia(good actress but god what a evil witch LOL)
AJ(annoying and no match for Gregory)
Sarah (so whiny and insecure)
Catilin(the 2.one ugh hated her
The couples I liked the most were: Gregory and Olivia, Ben and Meg, Tim and Annie(I know they werent a couple but still) and Paula and Ricardo(hated him with Gaby)
Sean (also a actor I didnt care for but I hated his attitude most of the time)

reply

Olivia has always been my favourite.
I loved her with Gregory they had such a complicated relationship.
I hated her with AJ and was glad when they didn´t go any further.

Most of the cast I liked well enough, I never cared about Vanessa and Michael much and didn´t like Virginia at all.

Bette was always funny and a great friend to Olivia.

Annie is a character I loved to hate, especially when she stole Olivia´s baby.

Speaking of Joan and Hank Cummings; I didn't thought that they were the worst characters on the show, I liked some of their moments, but they could be blend at times. I didn't thought AJ were so bad either.

Otherwise, I do agree with your excellent opinions.

I liked:

Annie: Such a fun character, even though she most of the time was mean to everyone else, but I do think it would have been too dull without her.

Antonio: An overall nice guy, but I found him really interesting when he found out he had feelings for Gaby. I thought they could have been a great couple.

Mark: As someone already said, he died too soon.

Brad: Not the smartest guy in the world, but I ended up liking him.

I disliked:

Richard: Probably my least favourite character of all time. I don't get what Olivia ever saw in him.

Olivia: I didn't dislike her all the time, but sometimes she was too whimpy, and selfcenteret.

Think they mean Gregory!!!!!

And best people in it were Ben and Meg, just the dream couple and i hated the way they mucked about with Ben sleeping with Maria it just made no sense and didnt fit Ben over all chracter that we had got to know. Also Annie could be a b*itch but the storyline between her , Meg and Ben in year 1 was fun to watch.

reply

I couldn't stand Gabby.

reply

Who was Brad?

reply

The guy who was in the 'teen' group with Sean, Amy and Emily. He was like Amy's partner in crime and helped her in her schemes, but he never really had much of a storyline of his own.

reply

Annie was the best character on the show, as well as Gregory when he was playing Uncle Tobias.

honey boo-boo child!

reply

I'll probably get hated for this but I didn't like Meg. I don't like those victimized goody girl characters on shows and movies and that's what Meg was.

"Don't they know they're making love to one already dead?!"

Love Les Miserables!!!

reply

Least favourites

Watching old clips on youtube I never cared for AJ much, I found him dull.
Caitlin - I'm not trying to be unsympathetic about the fact that her mother was an alcoholic etc but I found her unlikeable near the end where she would blame Olivia for Cole being arrested

reply

I was basically a kid, 13, when the show began. I didn't like Meg then, and during re-watches, I still don't like her. And it was all because of that overly naive and sweet persona.

reply

I mainly liked;

Casey; Because of his good looks and was overall a nice guy.
Rae; Because of her good looks.
Alex, Casey's mom: Just a likeable person overall.
Gabby: I liked her naughty and feisty nature, though she became duller through the seasons.
Bette: Because of her wacky personality.
Ben: I actually found him to be quite likeable, despite that he was somewhat mysterious and did put Meg a lot of trouble. But he was a nice guy.
Maria: Just a sweetheart and a gorgeous girl.
Meg: Same reason as Maria.
Gregory: An bastard, but a sexy and fun bastard.
Elaine: A warm and likeable surrogate mother towards the folks of Sunset Beach.
Virginia: An evil witch who made the show.
Annie: She could be pathetic sometimes, but she was fun and sexy.
Paula: Sexy, confident and a good sister.
Hank and Joan; A likeable couple and good parents to Meg.

I disliked:

Cole: Handsome, but dull and boring. Besides his good looks, I never understood what the girls saw in him.
Tim: Whiny, unlikeable and pathetic.
Tiffany: I dislike Adrienne Franz' whimpy voice and mediocre acting.
Ricardo: A pathetic semi-touch guy who tried to act cool. Just unlikeable.
Olivia: A whiny, self-centered and melodramatic bitch.
Caitlin: The same reason as Olivia.
Eddie: Just overall annoying.
Amy: A whiny, pathetic bitch.
Sarah: Same reasons as Amy.
