What happened to? (Spoiler)

So, any speculation as to what happens to Ashka at the end of the series? To be honest, it looks like it was left open for another series, but given that almost a decade has passed, I don't think it'll happen.

I used to watch this show back when it came out. And then i found it again recently, and just finished watching it today. I also wonder what happened to her, i guess we'll never know.

She was left in some random dimenshion with nothing, but her power suit. Judging from the rather fierce growl we hear at the closure, it was one hostile dimenshion.

I remember thinking she was going to be transported to the Immortal world.

That would have been cool.

It would have, but imagine Ashka somehow making it out of there (they had pretty advanced tech, I wouldn't put it past them to find a way to travel between dimensions one day) - and being immortal! Nasty...

as I have just watched this show for the first time it does seem to me that they were giving themselves a chance to make another series.

Many Australian children’s and teen shows are governmentally funded in some way.

Many scripts are summated but only a few each year are accepted for funding. Typically funding is given for 13 or 26 episodes for a season.

Not knowing if the show will be funded for another year the show needs to have some kind of wrap-up at the end of the season and yet end in a way that if it is funded it can continue from that point.

Although ratings or popularity of a show has much to do with whether it is given funding for another season other factors also play a part in this decision. Such as it’s educational and moral values too.

I have always been a fan of Australian and other overseas shows. I believe that many are of higher quality do to this rigorous selection process then children and teen shows here in USA.

Hope this helps.

All the best.

Exactly. It would have been a perfect set up for a third and final series. Ashka becomes immortal and uses the Immortal world technology to get back to her world.

Are you sure she didn't end up in the world of the immortals? It looked kind of similar, didn't it? I could be wrong, I watched the last episode yesterday but the first episode that takes place in the immortal world a few weeks ago, but they looked similar to me.

Ashka was left in a Forrest with a river. That could be anywhere. She also heard a large beast growl. It sounded like a dragon or something as large as that. The Immortal World didn't have any kind of ferocious beasts.

This is why me and a friend wanted to try and get the rights to make some kinda fan-film/sequel deal, including the casts from both series together, explaining Ashka, etc. Set in current times with the original cast, if they wanted to. Though we'll never wipe it off the slate it looks like it'd be a bitch since the Spellbinder rights are all over the place far as I can tell

reply

Ashka could be in Byston well and Byston well is a fantasy world from Aura Battler Dunbine if they ever do a season 3 it should be called Spellbinder Byston Well!

If you want a anime thats close to Star Wars, then check out Legend of the Galactic Heroes!
