Bad Casting - Sexual Tension

I thought the casting of Marcus and Yvette as brother and sister was really uncomfortable as they clearly had a lot of chemistry and there was a strong sexual undertone to their interactions. This often created an uncomfortable atmosphere when viewing and most of been difficult for the writers to manage this situation.

i thought yvette and marcus were perfect characters to play as brothers and sisters, i have no idea what sexual tones you're talking about

reply

I don't feel any sexual tension either.

reply

Actually I always felt there was always more sexual tension between Yvette and the dad.

reply

Yeah, you could tell her and the dad just wanted to bang.

reply

I saw tension between her and Mo, but I guess that was intended to an extent.

reply

I never noticed any tension, sexual or otherwise. Those two actually played a great pair of siblings who annoyed the crap out of each other.

reply

So, according to this thread Essence Atkins had sexual tension with every older male actor on the show, am I right?

reply

apparently, but I don't think that's a fair assessment. She was the only female character on the show in 90% of the episodes.

LOL... why?

"Do you even remember what you came here to find?"

because they making it sound like every character wanted to do each other! I was just watching today and thought it was just so wholesome. Now I'm going to keep looking into things that aren't there when I watch again. Thanks IMDB!

I agree!
Don't let them ruin this show for you. It's so good and "wholesome" is definitely a word that I'd use to describe it. It was really good. I watch it like once a week.
