Molly and Connor

Did anyone else wish that Connor and Molly fell in love? I think that if the show had of gone on they would have. In " the Cage" I loved how they played the role of lovers. And when they almost married at the druid ceremony?

My money was always on Catlin and Conor. In the "Tash" episode, Conor tells Catlin that he loves her and then writes the symbol for unity on the stone. I think he's saying two things there: he's completing the ceremony or whatever that ended Amalia's possession of Catlin, but he's also saying "You and me. Together. No matter what."

It's a shame we'll never know what the series' creators intentions were, and they were good at confusing us in the existing episodes. First, Conor shows concern for Catlin in "The Chosen", then he clearly enjoys his encounters with Molly in "Doyle's Solution." Next, he and Catlin grow closer in "Red Boot" and "Spear of Destiny" and then, along comes "The Eternal" and the near-wedding ceremony. Then, the very next episode is "Tash" with Conor openly declaring his love for Catlin and Molly nowhere to be seen. "Traps" is highly non-committal either way, as is "Daybreak." Then there is "The Cage", in which, I submit, we see Conor pretend to love Molly, but show glimpses of his distaste for lying to Catlin, presumably because he cares for her and doesn't want this plan to hurt her. And then, finally, there's "Sweet Bridget" in which Conor falls for the most beautiful sprite in all of Creation, with apparently nary a concern for either Catlin or Molly.

I wonder if Heath Ledger ever looked at Shaun Cassidy et al and said, "Come on, fellas, make up your minds!"

Why would he say that? He gets to make out a with a different gorgeous woman every week.

lol, tho it might have helped get people interested in the show if the love interest had been a bit clearer. I always thought it would be Connor and Caitlyne. Molly always seemed like someone he was only mildly attracted to, and he really cared about Caitlyne, he just wasn't ready to fall in love again within the 12 eps. The station should have kept this going, it died just as things could have gone from good to great.

Connor and Caitlin.

It was their destiny. ;)

Besides with Fergus being Connors surrogate father, that makes Molly his sort of sister. Connor and Molly were close, but what Connor and caitlin had was trued love.

Molly. There is lots of chemistry between them, from the very moment they met, and during the wedding ceremony, and when they played the role of lovers so naturally in "The Cage" so it is quite easy to imagine them as true lovers a bit later. On the contrary, Conor pays no specific attention to Caitlin at the beginning (yes, he saves her but he would save any other person, too), and their relationship later is rather like of two good friends, fellow fighters, brother and sister. Yes, he said he loved her in "Tash", but it was needed to save her. It was rather a fraternal love. He feels guilty for lying to Caitlin in "The Cage", but he would also feel so if they were just good friends and because he knew *she* was so devoted to him and because he promised her to be honest with her always. Not because he loves her as a man would love a woman but had to pretend to be in love with someone else. And at the last episode, Conor travels together with Molly and Caitlin is nowhere seen. And I think, Conor's relationship with Fergus is not a big problem, he is not his real son, only a good friend so no formal obstacles here. I rather liked all these "get your hands off my daughter!" jokes :) It adds some charm to this couple (like in Harry Potter+Ron+Ginny triangle).

Conor (Heath) loved Caitlin like a sister. It would have been Molly he married except for ...

BRIDGET!!! Would have been nice to see them develop a relationship. She is the only one he could not take for granted. He knew he could have either Caitlin or Molly too easily. A guy likes a challenge. I also thought he had the most chemistry with Bridget -- she was a woman; the others were girls.
