Why people didn't like this season???...

I thought it was ok even when the cast was repleaced, I still liked it, what's bad on it?

-It's the end of something simple and the beginning of everything else...

reply

......I guess i didn't like it cause they just changed it too fast. It wasn't ok we're going to let you go at the end of the season with some kind of closure, it was leave..go..bye!!! And i didn't really like the new actors either!

reply

Justin is the main reason I think. But I still liked it.

**YOU*OOZE*YOU*LOSE**

reply

Beside Justin, (though he was ok) I didn't like the cast change but in some cases they weren't bad like the Countdown to Space finally. Aside from that the second half was ok but it lacked experence.

reply

That little runt Justin was a major dent in what was an otherwise fine series. (In the Turbo movie, especially before the Rangers morph for the first time, you can easily tell that Tommy isnt too pleased to be baby-sitting). Aside from Justin, i felt the Turbo series was enjoyable. Not the best (that title goes to Power Rangers In Space) but not unbearable either.

I wasn't a big fan of all the changes. I wasn't used to losing Billy in Zeo, and then in Turbo we lost Rocky. I barely watched Turbo when it was on and one day I decide to watch it after a while of having missed it and there is a completely different cast. That was it for me. My tv was turned off to PR until Dino Thunder. And then I went back and watched reruns of In Space and Ninja Storm.

Oh, can't forget that we lost Zordon and Alpha early in the season. That was another reason why it was bad.

reply

I didn't think this season was terrible. It wasn't as good as MMPR or ZEO, but it wasn't as bad as say, Lost Galaxy or Time Force, or Wild Force, or Lightspeed Rescue. The only things that brought Turbo down was the introduction of Justin, and the sudden leave of Tommy, Kat, and Adam. It was like 2 episodes in and they left.

reply

They were in the first 18 episodes. Anyway, I think it was a combination of events. For starters, Justin arrives during the film, then Alpha 5 and Zordon leave after the first 3 episodes. Also the cast change during the season as well. Finally, This was the only season till Countdown to Destruction that Rita and Zedd wasn't involved so there was whole new villians that we wasn't used to but she was such as crazy as Rita. The Chase Into Space two parter was one of the best episodes in Turbo. Still, the overall season wasn't good because of the changes that the viewers weren't used to. Along with some bad writeing in several episodes as well.

reply

It was alright.. but it wasn't the best in the world.. they changed alot so fast and the change wasn't exactly the best in a few ways.. i still say mighty morphin was the best.

reply

There was that one episode where TJ got baked into a giant pizza. That pretty much shows where they were creatively. I still think that the seasons from Lightspeed till Ninja Storm were the worst.

everbody needs to stop crying this season was good the acting definetly improved before the replacement power rangers acted so soft such as tommy as the green graner then the end of mighty morphin and zeo he beacame softer and less believeable turbo was good and pushed power rangers fan to adjust to change you will never have the same cast forever or character unless ur susan lucci watch this season again nothing was wrong with it

Every thing went way too fast. I guess when all of the rangers left(especially Billy in Zeo), it wasn't as good. And yeah Justin screwed up the season. The other new rangers were never good in Turbo. But the season finale was the best thing to happen all season.

reply

Cars as Zords? WTF

I know i'm late but they had to use cars since this season was based on 'Gekisou Sentai Carranger'.

reply

a lot of my friends stopped watching this at Turbo! and I read that the series almost got cancelled because of Turbo.

reply

That was the best season ever for me. Forgive me for this, but I still have the Turbo movie on DVD, and I still watch it. Blake Foster was the best part of the season because he made the show interesting as a kid being a Power Ranger. I knew that that may had led to the "jump the shark" moment when he joined. For me, it jumped the shark when he left and the season ended. Because it really got bad with the era from Power Rangers In Space to Power Rangers Ninja Force, because it failed to recapture the magic during that time for me. Recently, the show had been a little better since Power Rangers Dino Thunder.

Dudes...the seasons should be ranked like this:
(1 being the best)

1. Power Rangers In Space
2. Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers
3. Power Rangers Zeo
4. Power Rangers Dino Thunder (they once considered bringing Adam in instead of Tommy, but didn't)
6. Power Rangers Time Force
7. Power Rangers Alien rangers (don't care what you all say, this was it's own show.)
8. Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue (Carter was a fine red ranger, but something about this series just irks me. I feel like it was a "finding" season, as to say that the production crew was at a lost without any previous characters. The team got the hang of this during the next series Time Force.)
9. Power Rangers Wildforce
10. Power Rangers Lost Galaxy (Interesting note: Cassie from Turbo and Space was supposed to take up the mantel of the Pink Lost Galaxy Ranger, but the deal fell through to some weird contract thingy. That's why her astro morpher was repaired and Kendrix still ended up dying. The team brought in Karone, which was the season's only good point...besides the Magna Defender, but they killed him off and gave his powers to that idiot Mike...AH!.)
11. Power Rangers Space Patrol Delta
12. Power Rangers Ninja Storm
13. power Rangers Turbo (the "turbo power" line sounds cool, but the show sucked)
14. Power Rangers Mystic Force (Oh my god, was this show awful.)

Operation over drive was supposed to feature a grown up Justin (the kid from Turbo, with the same actor in the role) but he declined. Thank god...this show may actually be worthwhile. But until they bring back Zach, Adam, Rocky, Billy, or Kimberly, the top four will never change.

Also, even though Mighty Morphin' power Rangers was good, that doesn't mean I don't have any issues with it...here they are (this is why it will remain number 2):

1. Kimberly gave her power coin to Kat and left the show. She was always the hot draw on the show and that almost killed me when she left.
2. Billy didn't take the Zeo powers and then left. Rocky made a nice blue ranger, but it just didn't seem right.
3. The ninja zords disappeared for like ten episodes for no reason (Zedd had the Falconzord and the Shogunzords were cool, but why did they have to go?)
4. They ended the series (Rita and Zedd destroyed the Ninja power coins, but damn...the show still had a year or two left in it.)
5. They took away Zach and Jason (Trini was an idiot and never had any good lines)
6. They made Rocky the red ranger (he should have been black while Adam should have had the red powers.)
7. They didn't allow Billy to keep his Power coin during the Alien Rangers arc (it was nice to see him take charge, but it would have been much cooler to see him as the lone functioning ranger)
8. Instead of putties, they used Tenga Warriors for season 3 (screw the movie and stick with what works, guys.)
9. They brought in Rita's dad, Master Vile (this was just ridiculous)
10. This final grievance isn't just about this show, but all the shows with Tommy in general...he got weaker with each new costume. When he had the green ranger powers, he was unbeatable...then he became the white ranger and he was still basically hard as hell to beat, but he lacked a certain cool factor and scary factor. When he took the red zeo power, he became another ordinary ranger, and while still red, he could be beat back like anybody else (white and green kept him in the game longer, most of the time)...and when he took up the red turbo ranger powers, he became an easy target. The black dino gem powered him up to incredible levels and he had the white ranger unbeatable factor again, but he never regained the green ranger scare factor.

reply

I know this is from a while back, but I'm going to reply on a few things anyway.

1. Kimberly gave her power coin to Kat and left the show. She was always the hot draw on the show and that almost killed me when she left.

Kimberly was NEVER the "hot draw" of the show, once Tommy came on he was the main draw of the show, that is proven by how many shows revolved around him. He was the most popular ranger. Kimberly may have been the HOTTEST Power Ranger in looks, but wasn't ever a "hot draw".

2. Billy didn't take the Zeo powers and then left. Rocky made a nice blue ranger, but it just didn't seem right.

This happened in Zeo not MMPR so this should have no effect on why you do or don't like MMPR.

5. They took away Zach and Jason (Trini was an idiot and never had any good lines)

I agree, partially, the actors wanted more money that's why they left. I don't know what they were asking for, but with the popularity of the show in 1994, I think they deserved it.

10. This final grievance isn't just about this show, but all the shows with Tommy in general...he got weaker with each new costume. When he had the green ranger powers, he was unbeatable...then he became the white ranger and he was still basically hard as hell to beat, but he lacked a certain cool factor and scary factor. Again, Tommy became the red ranger in Zeo not MMPR, so this should not be a factor in you disliking MMPR. You said that he got weaker every time he changed color, but when he was Green and White he was powerful, but not when he was red. That happened in ZEO!

Also, by the time Zeo came along I think Power Rangers began losing popularity. I know I stopped watching shortly after Zeo began. I just had a hard time enjoying the new villains. Also I was 12 when Zeo began and just felt that I was getting too old to be watching it. Which of course is ridiculous now, because I am 24 and still love watching this show. I've seen all of Zeo now and regret not watching it when it first came on. It was a very good show.
