They were both from out of town, Cassie in particular had family in another city. So where did they live? And what did she do with her dog when she was in space?

Good question. One episode they're on a bus going to live in different places, the next they're fully fledged Rangers enrolled at Angel Grove High. Fleshing out the Rangers' personal lives was never a strong suit of the show though. In the same vein, where did Jason live when he returned in Zeo and suddenly re-enrolled at Angel Grove High? Why was he not at graduation in Turbo? Why did Rocky suddenly drop off the face of the earth? And in general, how come when characters stopped being Rangers, they apparently stopped attending school and hanging out with their friends? In some instances, they moved out of town but both times Tommy lost his Green Ranger powers it wasn't to move away, he just vanished. Sorry, that's basically a very long winded way of saying I don't know! :P It just seems that the writers chose not to dwell on it.
