I found season 1 unwatchable and how come Lord Zedd and Rita weren't in

I found season 1 unwatchable and how come Lord Zedd and Rita weren't in the Turbo season? I mean in the end of Zeo they were poised to take over and they just disappered

They get a cameo in the Turbo film where it's implied they're on an extended vacation, it's possible that during the Turbo era the couple are in the process of having their son, whom we meet later in Operation Overdrive.

what extended vaca, OK they retook the moon at the end of Zeo and never went back to pre Zeo days. I wonder if also DArk Specter ordered them to stand down, how come the Machine Empire disappeared too despite being blown up and rebuilt.

I think Rita and Zedd are on their vacation in that scene where Divatox calls to get advice.

My guess is Rita and Zedd were planning on taking over once their vacation was over but I guess they changed their mind, or Dark Specter changed the plans for them when he (more than likely) sent Divatox and her group there instead.

Makes sense to me considering the Power Rangers in Space Pilot.

The Machine Empire may not have been rebuilt fully until we saw them at the start of in Space with. An extended vaca for Rita and Zedd may have been due to Rita finding out she was pregnant. Just speculation, but it is possible given Thrax's existence.

what other speculations maybe are there? but Thrax was imprisoned long ago remember?
