Hypothesis: Odysseus will be from the planet Ithaca and is journeying home from an intergalactic war on the planet Troy. His space ship's name will be Ullyses. He continuously gets knocked off course because of a faulty Navi computer. He will land on an uncharted planet to see if he can get supplies from the locals (the Cyclopes), and ends up having to flee with some space sheep. His crew then gets knocked around by some severe solar winds and crashes on the planet Aeaea where the aliens use magic rather than technology and respect nature. Circe is the leader and turns the humans to boars or pigs or some swine-like creatures. Odysseus stays there for a while to get his ship repaired. He then must go to a lava planet (similar to Star Wars' Mustafar) to meet with Teiresias the Seer. He passes a pirate space ship called Siren. He skirts by Charybdis the Black Hole and Scylla the volatile sun. He and his crew land on another planet, Helios, and partake in the unattended "cows" there. However, an alarm goes off and Odysseus and his men are taken into custody. Odysseus' men are executed and Odysseus escapes with the help of a warrior named Athena. Athena gives Odysseus a small transport, the best she can give him, and he flies away. Unfortunately, the small ship cannot reach Ithaca and crashes onto Calypso's planet. He is trapped there for seven years until the queen, Calypso lets him go and provides him with a ship. The ship is then destroyed by an icy asteroid and crashes on the planet Phaeaecia - which is very close to Ithaca. Odysseus rests there for a few days before the king of Phaeaecia provides him with a ship and crew and brings him to Ithaca.

And that's just Odysseus' journey home. What about the suitors? Penenlope? Telemachus? Well, this is as far as my brain has gotten for The Odyssey... IN SPACE!
