Is this show ever coming out on DVD
Does anyone know if this show will ever be released on DVD? thank you, Cynthia
shareI was told years ago by someone at the production company that it wouldn't ever be on DVD or in syndication because they hadn't actually aired enough episodes before cancellation to merit that. I keep hoping that will change though because nowadays everything comes out on DVD.

shareIncluding the episodes that never aired there are a total of 18 episodes and they are shows with about that same number of episodes that are available on DVD. The problem is that the show dates from a time before DVD was on the market and has largely been forgotten except by the few who actually watched it.
I do seem to recall hearing several years ago that the company Loyola Productions (which was founded in part by one of the Jesuits who was involved in the creation of "Nothing Sacred") had inquired about obtaining the DVD rights but that they were too expensive for the then new company. I don't know if any of that may have changed, but here is a link to their web site:

In any case Fox owns the rights to the show and Fox has long had a reputation for being very reluctant to release any TV show on DVD that they are not certain will turn a profit.
