Why aren't

Why aren't any of the ethnic minorirty actors ever cast as the murderer?
It seems strange that they go to all the trouble to cast these actors but never give them the best part.

I would love to see that.

So would I because these days your amount of suspects decrease because you just know that for some reason the makers will not cast any as the murderer.

There was one, back in the early days of the "Now With Colour!" episodes. Watch the episode called The Flying Club.]

Heh, I've wryly observed/addressed this quite deliberate, recent 'phenomena' before too, albeit rhetorically as I'm sure we all know the answer why (so far - bar possibly a single exception) non-white characters are essentially absolved from being the killer by default! 

Sadly though such tediously right-on gesturing only undermines the murder mystery format by disingenuously presenting a full set of characters to suspect despite cynical viewers now being able to discount anywhere up to a third of the guest cast instantly by skin colour alone.

Yet another reason why I find John Nettles' era preferable: the (mostly) monocultural guest casts really all were conceivably the murderer! That's how murder mysteries should be.
