In the episode "Nine Pretty Angry Men" when Hank is railing against the new lawnmower, he talks to Boomhauer about riding his mower. He mentions the seat warmer and asks Boomhauer where he keeps his can of beer when he's riding the mower. Granted, it's just his mower and in his yard, but Hank being such a law-and-order type, wouldn't he get on Boomhauer's case for driving his mower under the influence?

People shouldn't operate machinery while consuming alcohol. A lawnmower counts as machinery. You do have a point.

Hank could do that but then he would be a hypocrite because he drove drunk on a lawn mower in 'uh-oh canada' with the intent of possibly getting into a fight since we all know how much hank loves to kick asses.
The more personalities you have the less boring you are!
If you get drunk enough off of one can of beer that you can't operate a ride on lawn mower, you have bigger problems then wondering about the legality of it.

Hank has broken so many laws in this show, I even wonder why anyone would wonder about any of it.
Kicking 'a55' is unlawful, because it's trampling someone else's rights. You can't just go on attacking people according to law or even the legal system.
Then there's the whole 'scalper tickets' thing when Hank is excited that Bobby is interested in American Football or something. How many laws does he break there, including 'stealing' a luxury box or whatever it's called..?
Hank gladly does not only the wrong thing, but the unlawful, let alone illegal thing, if it serves him, while pretending to be a law-abiding individual. Hypocrisy at its finest.. Hank has no spine, while pretending to have one, and yet judges others for breaking the law.
