... Green Lantern's costume was teal/turquoise in color???

Was the costume designer colorblind?

It was a very low budget pilot. Costume designers that can tell colors cost more money. Green also costs more than teal.

I have no reason why. But maybe it was to make sure it could still be used against a green screen for the not-so-special visual effects.

More than likely, or else the green they chose looked more teal on film. Colors don't always photograph the same tone as the eye sees. I have seen videos where someone is wearing what I know to be red, but it appears more orange on screen.

Fortunately, Ah keep mah feathers numbered for just such an emergency!
