I understand that the writers couldn't use batman,superman, and wonder woman, but why not make a Justice Society TV Movie/Film I'm a huge DC comics fan so it upsets me that they couldn't do better with the countless DC character's. This is my idea for a JLA/JSA/JLI type show with the mindset that this would have been a TV Movie pilot that then would be made into a show in the year 1997
Leader/ The Flash aka Jay Garrick or Barry Allen
2nd in command Green lantern aka Kyle rayner or Guy Gardner
3rd Dr Fate and no one would find out his true identity until season finale
4th Captain Marvel aka Billy Batson
5th Martian Manhunter
6th Hawkwoman
7th the new comer for a viewers perspective Zatanna

The villain would be Staro and he would be the villian for all of seson 1 or Amazo robots

Eh. The whole Fire/Ice/Guy thing was the best part of that era of JLA.

And there definitely should have been a Ted Kord Blue Beetle. Booster, too.

I agree with Martian Manhunter though.

And let's face it, this steaming pile had more problems than could be solved by character changes. The writing was horrible; the costumes worse; and the production even worse.

Remember the time this came out. It was 1997. This is the same year that Batman&Robin; Steel; and Spawn came out. Live action superhero shows and movies were pretty lousy because no one really took it seriously at that time or because writers simply didn't know how to correctly portray the characters. So a lot of the output was reliant on a camp and often cheap looking aesthetic with ham-and-cheese acting.
In short, they had no clue what they were doing.
