Rating?

Does this have an official rating? If not, what do you think it should be rated (G, PG, PG-13, etc.)? Thank you!

This was shown on TV, so the "official rating" is NR.

There are battle scenes, but there is not a lot of gore and bloodshed. "Braveheart" definitely has a lot more than you see here. The most nudity you see here is "Ivanhoe's" chest as he is being attended by "Rebecca" after being wounded.

Personally, I think it would be a PG-13, only becasue of the fact that the plot is a bit twisty-turney & it might be harder for somone younger to keep up. My 12 year old started watching it with me, and he said he was not able to keep up with the plot & them fell asleep!

But it definitely is good - I'm looking to buy it...or I might just put it on my Christmas want list!

I don't think plot depth leads to stricter ratings (bwahaha). The ultra-violent "contest" between the normans and saxons was pretty disturbing considering nothing but pride was on the line and men young and old were killed or maimed. I would think those scenes inparticular would warrant the pg13 rating you suggest.

Every show on TV has an "official rating" using the television ratings system that has been in place since the 1990s and is completely separate from the MPAA ratings system. That being said, the TV rating for this show doesn't seem to be available anywhere.
