Fearnet.com

I have just sent a letter to http://www.fearnet.com/ via thier feedback form (very bottom of nthe screen on your right, It is an OnDemand station, FREE, so anyone who gets it, I'd recommend they send a letter as well.

The letter:

I have a suggestion for a movie for your OnDemand station (your web doesn’t have closed captions – even OnDemand is sporadic & unpredictable). It is a cult-fav, suspense/thriller/horror FOX 1997 TV Mini, 2 parts, called “Intensity” – The only Dean Koontz novel, of the same name, to follow TUGTI (The Uber God That Is) Koontz’s work 90% of the time. There are petitions, websites, letters, all to get FUX, err, FOX to release this on DVD but they still haven’t. PLEASE consider that. While “Watchers” utterly slaughtered it’s literary ancestor, “Intensity” followed it’s forbearer. (Including the captions goes without requiring the deaf guy needing to ask. ;-) )

BTW, it’s IMDB page is here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118350/

Fearnet did put Intensity on their roster - I just watched it last night. AMAZING! I'll be recording it this weekend.

Isn't this a dream come true?! Isn't this a nightmare TOO?!

reply

Nice job. I just watched it for the first time since it aired when I was a teenager.

reply

Blasted Brighthouse dropped FearNet. I was the one who suggested Intensity, too.

What a great movie this was. I just finished watching it. I'm kind of disappointed it is not available on DVD though.

As a Dean Koontz fan, I, and many on ABDK, felt thia was the ONLY book to movie of TUGTI Koontz's works that translated, not just well, but 90% like the book well. I'd give anything to get it again (with captions <vbg>).

I want FearNet back!!!!!!

(PS forgive typos I missed -- crappy eyes are xtra blurry today)

reply

My understanding is that it is TV OnDemasnd only. (much to my chagrin) I just checked hulu.com .. not there either. :-(

Has anyone checked to see if this film is available on Netflix?

reply

It is (highly) unfortunate that Columbia TriStar Television has refused to release this in any form other than TV.
