I actually like this movie, but couldn't help but notice a similarity...

I saw this TV movie a few years ago and I really enjoyed it. I haven't read the book yet, but I plan to very soon. I just watched "When the Bough Breaks" (1993, written and directed by Michael Cohn) and the ending is quite similar to the ending of Intensity...specifically the villain being set on fire and locked in a room. I wonder if Koontz was inspired by that earlier film?
