The Hidebound

Anyone's take on what the heck happened? Somehow I got lost near the end of the episode. Does anyone know if this is based on a short story as well?

No one?... Seems hardly anyone sees this. I understand many people don't like the series but it's weird how you can't find good summaries explaining things or giving interpretations, as opposed to other TV shows. With "The hidebound", I'm still not sure whether that spirit was after the woman to kill her. That was the first impression I got, but then it seemed like the spirit possessed the woman? I also never really understood what happened to the guy the spirit was having sex with near the beginning of the episode. At the end, the way she attacks the main character's ex appears to be very different from the sudden disappearance of the other guy. The bat shape was also a weird. At first I thought this thing was a succubus, now I don't know what she was. Would be nice to hear any ideas.

Idk, I don't think anyone would really be able to explain it. Most of the episodes are just kinda weird and explain very little. The twists sometimes feel tacked on without making much sense :/.
This was a decent episode though.

I haven't seen that particular episode, but the episodes are all based on short stories by respected genre writers. Sometimes the show screws up the presentation, sometimes not. Research the original story; it should be listed in the credits.

Aickman's 'The Swords' bears only the slightest resemblance to their version.

Have you actually tried using the information already available on this site? If so, you'd know it's one of several episodes adapted from stories by Gemma Files.
