The Grand

I really liked this programme when it was on, i wish they would make a new series although the chances of that is very unlikely. Oh well, long live the memories.

Hey, does anyone have the Grand DVD's? Would it be possible to screencap Julia St. John's character, Sarah Bannerman, for me?

Thanks in advance x

Yeh, the end of the first series was really tragic, but thats why it was so good and gripping. I must say, i did shed a tear for her.

Sarah does end up leaving with her husband as Marcus has bought the Grand, he stays with his wife as she becomes pregnant, but loses the baby and never tells him, the long story short, she is able to contact a man who gets women to give up thier unborn children for a price and so she is able to have a baby for Marcus to believe it is his, but then the woman wants her baby back. This leads to a lot of other drama with the other characters, it is worth owning.
I hope this helps, and I didn't say too much

No I don't think he was using her all along, I beleived he really cared about her but when he found out that he was going to be a father, he became more committed to that.

I just lucked out, usually it is released in the UK before here, so I went out and bought myself a all region free dvd player, because I couldn't wait. I am a fan of Paul McGann and never knew about Mark until "The Grand", and luckily again I found out that they are 4 brothers, Paul , Mark, Joe and Stephen they were all in "The Hanging Gale" so I had to purchase that as well.
