RIP IMDb boards....It's been a pleasure, Dawson's Creek board

This was my favorite board circa 2005. I posted nearly every day and the discussions were fantastic, as well as the people. (This was also the heyday of Television Without Pity, so there was a lot of crossover.)

Sucks that the boards are dying, but I'll have fond memories of this tiny nook of IMDb.

It is a shame the boards are being shut off. I have I enjoyed seeing people's thoughts about DC here over the years. I watched from the beginning as a young 19 yo back in 1998 and still enjoy the show 13 years after its been off the air. There is still an fairly active forum over on Fanforum, so I plan to move to start posting there.

I am very sad to see that the message boards are going because ?? ----They are no longer positive or useful to members? Rubbish! Whilst some comments may be negative in their tone isn't that what public opinion is all about? Have we all gone so far PC that we can't cope with some robust discussion and disagreement!? Very sad indeed. Anyway I will really miss these boards of my favourite shows ( and movies) with DC being one of my top favourite shows. RIP IMDB there won't be much of a reason to visit here anymore.

In a word, yes.

IMDB is so full of crap. "As part of our effort enhance the customer experience on IMDb, we are going to take away the one thing that actually comprises the customer experience."

I came here to say the same thing. I don't remember what my username was back then, but I still remember a few things from around 2005. Mainly that there was a guy with a name like "chuckhhill" or something like that who often talked about how he adored Jen because she reminded him of his wife. I am bummed in general that the IMDb boards are closing, but this is my favorite show of all time and I liked talking about it on here as a way of enjoying it after it was no longer airing.

I totally agree. Fanforum seems to be the only other site that has frequent discussion on DC, but a lot of their threads are geared towards a specific topic (Word association, P/J, etc) and not episode discussions. I thought Reddit would have some discussion but was stunned when I saw the content on the DC subreddit!

it's an absolute tragedy. won't be using the app/website half as much when the boards close

Aw, yeah I think I remember something like that from those days too. Definitely "chuck" something.
