3.5 rating???

I'm curious, I remember watching this show when it premiered and being kind of frustrated with the audio in the first few episodes. It seemed like the background sounds in the scenes that were shot outside were so loud that I had to strain to hear what the characters were saying. It was almost as if there was a mixing/sound editing problem. Do you notice that on the DVD's? I really liked the series and have thought about buying the set.
