I am thinking I have heard Utah, but i am not sure. Does anyone know?

Read the Trivia more often man, you would know then..

"Parts of the show were filmed in Denver, Colorado and at the time the University Hills Mall was slated for demolition. For the mass destruction after math scenes, they used areas of the mall which had been demolished already and actually blew a few more things up themselves. Concerned citizens nearby thought the black smoke they were seeing was indicative of a real emergency and promoted over 100 calls/minute to 911."

The trivia is incorrect about the name of the mall though. It was the Villa Italia Mall in Lakewood CO, a suburb of Denver.

It's now the home of Belmar Shopping center. I recall the smoke as I used to live near that area.

Well Denver in 2013 was a way different story! Denver has the rudest, most aggressive drivers I have ever witnessed. They make Los Angeles drivers seem very calm and polite! Also, so many d-bags live there, that traffic itself is a nightmare!
