My Only Problem...

I fell in love with this movie. The combination of understated filmmaking and complex characters blends well here. The four leads are all very charming, and I would like to see them in other productions. I especially loved the actor who plays Quentin, though his character is a heel. The one problem I have with the film is the lack of a connection between Samir's relationship with Rick and his attempt at a relationship with Quentin. I thought the filmmaker wanted us to understand something significant about Samir's relationship with Rick -- besides its tragic obviousness -- but I just haven't figured out what. Sadly, there aren't many messages for this movie, but if anyone has any ideas I'd love to read them.
