Just purchased the movie this weekend.

I actually found out about the film from an Austin based Podcast on Spill.com, and couldn't believe I'd never heard of the movie before, because I'm HUGE Robert. E Howard fan and have been collecting his works for years.

What a wonderful movie, and just incredible to watch Vincent actually become Robert.

There were MANY great moments in the film, but I think my favorite would be the scene where Robert is explaining to Novalyne for the first time who Conan is, and he get's so caught up in his description of it to her, and then watching her reaction and especially how she then dealt with it. Really great stuff.

The Commentary was good as well. There was one section where everyone "started" talking about some of the things that were different from the movie as opposed to how they went down in real life, and I was very eager to hear all of them, but unfortunately, you got side tracked by another subject and never went back to that. Would be interested to hear more about that.

Anyhow, great flick, and I'm SO happy I found it. This film really should be more well know.

I am more fascinated by the facts rather than the fiction. But sadly,i seek to grasp the impossible.Howard is gone & that is that.
Traces of Howard can be found in his stories. His character & actions are all there if you look.I came across something of interest when looking for a piece about Howard's death.I thought it might have been a mistake & written by somebody in one of his new books as a prologue about Howard.
I refer to "Cthulhu, the mythos & kindred horrors",from the story "Dig Me No Grave"It was the first three paragraphs that had me stumped.Briefly:
A knock on the door roused me from sleep,i looked out of the window.I seen the face of my friend looking up at me.I sprang out of bed.
How was Howard able to identify the visitor whilst still in bed?
Later on,i found some film footage (on the net) where a man talks about knowing & meeting Howard.Being shown around the Howard residence he comments that the bed is in the wrong place & should be next to the window.
He also confirms that Howard talked in an incredible manner that suggests the film is accurate in its portrayal of Howard.
