Best scene in the movie

Natalie and the one dude who turned are talking in his room after he threw that girl over the stairwell the night before. While they're talking, the AWFUL soundtrack is playing in the background. So the dude walks over to his radio/cd player/whatever and turns the music off. And the soundtrack shuts off.

REALLY? It's non-diegetic music in every other scene...and it's awful...but all of a sudden it's diegetic? Like the guy was just listening to horrendous ominous tones in his room by himself for funzies before she came by?
