Not as good as the first one...

The jokes are just a little tired, and we saw it all done once, and very well. Also, the whole thing with Greg and Martha was a bit forced.

That said, this is still a great movie. Maybe some people don't understand why both of these movies are actually so funny. They don't seem to get just how saccharine the Bradys were even when the show was fresh. I guess I can see how if you don't get the overlying inside joke this might not make much sense, but it really nails just how silly The Brady Bunch actually was. Times were changing fast and the Bradys never really seemed to catch up, even at the beginning.

I like both movies, but actually prefer the storyline in the second one, even though some of the jokes do fall flat or just weren't executed well. The attraction between Greg and Marsha seemed to be a reference to how there were attractions among certain original cast members in real life.

OH, it wasn't just "an attraction", these people totally hooked up with one another. I just think it could have been done a little more subtly. Comedy doesn't have to be blatantly obvious to work.

Totally agree that the first was better. So many people like this over the first, but I just don't see it. Most of the references were used in the first one, and this storyline is a little too lame (as much as I like Tim Matheson). The flow is all wrong too. It just seems to be obsessed with Marcia and Greg's attraction to each other, the evil [fake] former husband, and trying to squeeze in references from the original series in a forced way. The original just felt fun, and this one is just off.

As for the rest of your post, I also agree. I'll still watch the tv series reruns for laughs on TV Land occasionally. I've even considered posting pictures and video clips of it on my Instagram and call it #BradyBunchBiMonthly... make up my own hashtag and drop "Brady Bunch" stuff into my profile "bimonthly." Haha, I am a complete dweeb.

See, I can laugh at the show's squeeky clean, cheese factor, and of course, I get a kick out of the 1990's films for being total satire. It literally take things that happened in a tv show two-and-a-half decades prior, and it comes out as safire, and just supports what you're saying about how the series was. With that said, I felt the first film had a pizzazz to it that as lacking in the second.

I don't agree, I think this is a rare case of the sequel being better than the original movie

I prefer this one.
