Why did Marcia pronounce school like that in both movies?

When I bought the complete series on DVD and watched it through I tried to pay attention to Marcia's 'school's. I never noticed a 'skewl'.
Off the top of my head in 'Getting Davy Jones', she definitely says 'when the whole school hears I bombed they'll all hate me.', and it's pronounced properly.
"Well...I've seen enough. Come on Charlie, we're going home."
It is really weird but funny the way she said "skewl."

shareBecause Maureen McCormick pronounced it that way in the original show. Christine Taylor noticed it and thought it was funny, so she copied Maureen and said it that way in the movies.
