the corny singing on the plane

That was funny when the lady on the intercom said "would the people in the aisles stop singing and shut up?" haha!

reply

It's even funnier when Greg makes a guitar appear from out of nowhere.

Yeah, these are some of the things that make this movie hilarious....I am laughing just thinking about it. I can't believe this movie is rated on this site at only a 5.1. It is so funny!

Let me hear some of that good time music, that I love to hear. I got plenty of blues and sought of bad news and need to find me some cheer!!!

first off, you quoted EXACTLY what the original poster stated. Second of all, you BUTCHERED the spelling of "aisles"

Did anyone also notice how conveniently roomy that plane was?

Haha it's the best part of the movie. Don't forget when the nun gets out the tamberine!

That was funny, the poor Brady Kids...

Cici: "Oh, I'm sorry my bad, I thought you were someone else".
Ghost Face: "That's OK, I am"

And then they all sat down to the tempo and volume level...

'twas a fun song, though... but, yeah, comparing 1974 to 1996... then again, even in 1974 the show had gotten plenty of reviews for being "too saccharine"... still, 70s crudity vs 90s crudity, the 90s have often ended up becoming dated far worse...

I love that part, when they finish and start slowly sitting down again and then a passenger chimes in with "Finally!"

Possibly my favorite scene in the entire movie! This scene shows how people would act if someone or a group of people all of a sudden got up and started singing. People would be annoyed as hell!

That's why I always laugh at musicals when a character starts singing and of course none of the other characters think it's unusual for this to happen when the truth of the matter is...IT IS unusual! People don't go around singing everything and when they do it's annoying!

I'm watching an old episode of The Brady Bunch, it's the one where Jan has a problem.

THANK YOU! You took the words about my feelings regarding musicals right outa my mouth! That's why the only 3 musicals I like are West Side Story (how can you top a line like "Gee, Officer Krupke - KRUP YOU!" ???), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - although that one is more the dancing rather than the singing for me - and Singin' In The Rain, with which I find no faults. VERY funny, great singing AND dancing. It has it all. Plus, I had the hots for Gene Kelly. But that's another story.

West Side and 7 Brides both have the ultra-talented Russ Tamblyn in them. Ya simply can'y go wrong there.
