i dont understand....i just dont understand

I just dont understand most people's opinions on this movie. This movie is a BLAST to watch. It's got a pretty sweet villian, and some pretty cool killings. It should at least have a 5 on imdb, just like Maniac Cop. Its even more fun than maniac cop. I just dont understand...

I was also pretty scared by it, and it indeed was creepy. But i don't mean it would've been creepy like horror movies are, rather creepy and scary that someone had put 2 million dollars to produce this COMEDY. Well at least it was fun to see Isaac Hayes and Robert Forster probably having fun with wasting their talent, and i must admit there's plenty worse movies...

Yeah, definitely, i agree. There's tons of worse movies. I mean...i don't mean to go out and say this film is a masterpiece, I hope i didn't sound like that. But i mean this movie isn't too bad, it's a fun movie.

I had fun with this movies, but maniac Cop was alot scarier in my opinion. Thats what sets it apart for me. There wasn't a single moment during Uncle Sam that I wasn't laughing AT the movie's awful production values and acting, whereas maniac Cop actually creeped me out a few times and had a memorable villain (without needing a ridiculous costume to achieve creepiness).

Its hard to "hate" a movie like uncle Sam, but the fact is that as far as these kinds of movies go, this isn't one of the better ones...and its only because I love Bill Lustig's earlier work that I say this.

Watch his 1980 film Maniac and tell me it isn't hair-raising. That was a brilliant film, the Maniac Cop series were inventive and fun slasher movies, but Uncle Sam is a pretty bad MC knockoff...but I DID love the outtake of the guy on stilts falling after the closing credits finish...stick around for it, you'll crack up!

I enjoy it for the most part the acting is a bit stiff and wooden specially from the child actors, and there isn't anybody really to root for they're all kind of jerks..with the exception of Issiac Hayes of course, and I like how the ambiguous ending is an homage to City of the Living Dead. All in all I give it about a 5/10.

I think it is a very fun movie to watch too. I love the fact that it is a horror comedy. Sometimes those are more fun to watch because they don't take themselves too seriously and it's good for horror fans to have a laugh on occasion. I also thought Christopher Ogden was great in the movie and was a good choice to play the main character. Overall, this was a great addition to my 4th of July holiday and I'm glad I watched it.
