Movie Based on real life case in South Carolina??
The info provided by "Treelojuice" about this TV movie "Twisted Desire" was great, but there are a couple of holes. For starters, I noticed that on the front of the character Jennifer Stanton's car (at the beginning of the movie when she and her friend Karen stop at the gas station) is a South Carolina license plate. Also, take notice that the Stanton House (portrayed in the movie) is seaside. And also, the high school in the movie that Jennfer attends is Stratford High School. There are also extras in the movie who are wearing red and black cheerleading outfits with the word "Knights" on the front. Now, after conducting some online research, I found that Stratford High School is located in Goose Creek (eastern) South Carolina, which is near the coast. I also came across the website for Stratford High School and in fact, their school colors are red and black and their mascot is the Knights. There is also a picture of the main entrance of the high school, which appears to be the exact same as the high school in the movie. And lastly, during a court scene, the court clerk announces "The state of South Carolina vs. Nicholas Ryan." In the scence where Jennifer and Karen are cleaning out Jennifer's closet at her house and Karen is looking for paper, she comes across stationary that has Emma's name on it. The address on the stationary is a Charleston, SC address. Strange huh?!? So did the really life events occur in South Carolina or not????
