Olivia and the Ending

Did anyone else notice the significant, almost longing look Olivia gives Viola at the end, when everything is revealed? It really shed a new light on it for me, as if Olivia is still in love with Viola - even afer her gender is revealed. Any thoughts?

It all has to do with the persona that Olivia fell in love with. Since Olivia met Viola when she was in her boy garb, her mind has the first impression everlasting in her mind- thus why she gives such a longing look toward Viola toward the end of the movie. She still kinda sees Viola as Cesario, the young boy of Orisino's guard that she fell in love with in the first place.

Anyways, that's my thoughts on it.

Luke, I am your second cousin twice removed on your mother's side!!!

I can't help but think that Olivia got the most raw deal out of the four lovers. She ended up married to a complete stranger who, let's face it, isn't half as awesome as his sister.

Maybe Sebastian is worse off than Olivia, though? He's married to a complete stranger too, and that Olivia is kind of high maintenance.

Lol, that's very true. She does seem high maintenance, not to mention flighty. Heh, I wish we could see into these relationships ten years down the road.

Hence Feste's last song. He's basically saying "ten years down the road, it'll be raining every day. Good story innit?"
