Another annoying romantic comedy ...

The truth about cats and dogs is they don't have the self conscious issues that cause Abby to deceive and feel less then. She's a very cute brunette and the scene between her and Noelle's "boyfriend" was unfortunately too close to the truth about how insensitive and maladaptive some folks can be. I got half way through the movie and decided "that's it" I'm have had enough. I'm sure alot of women (and men) will identify with Abby's plight and understand why she has to be pretentious and buy into the idea that no guy could possibly find her attractive both inside and out. Is there a therapist in the house? Better yet is there a support group for those single women who feel cheated by being born short, brunette and cute (by the way I prefer short, cute, brunette women).
Anyway the movie was part of my encore channel selection for the month of Feb '07. It goes to my "B" list.

You have to date a woman with poor self-esteem to understand Abby. I've dated my share, you tell them 1000 times they're beautiful and they only remember that 1 time you said they were a little fat or needed a haircut.
Abby is cute, yes, but she was mean to men not because they were boorish idiots, but because she was so afraid of them her emotional suit of armor kept her from interacting. Those kinds of girls are really tough to talk to and most guys give up and stick to women who are more receptive.

I dated a girl with horrible self esteem. She even cut herself so she had lots of slashes on her upper arms and she was suffering from depression and was on medicine for that.
She was quite fun to be around and the sex was amazing, but she couldn't shake the fact I liked her and thought of her as attractive. It was almost insulting in a way to me.
Needless to say it didn't last long, she couldn't handle intimacy.

you tell girls they are a little fat sometimes? or need a haircut? fat is far worse and objectifying the haircut is jut petty but really? why would you do that? do women ever say to you out of nowhere "you're a little fat...."
