Who else always thought Janeane was the more attractive one?

I remember seeing this movie numerous times on HBO back in the late 90's and back then I thought Janeane was more attractive than Uma Thurman in this film and in real life. I couldn't even watch the movie today because the premise seems ridiculous to me now. Uma was playing a airheaded skinny blonde bimbo, who in reality would also be a gold digger.. none of that is appealing to me. Not to mention if you look up a picture of the two of them in real life today, it's obvious who is winning the fight with father time. Uma has clearly aged and is looking world-weary, where as Janeane still looks great and relatively youthful.

More people probably realize it now than 10 years ago: Intelligence and non-conformity is sexy, black hair and geek glasses on a cute girl is sexy.. the fact that she might have been thicker than the average actress yet was still starring in films was sexy, i'd have banged her then and still would bang her now at any time.

Absolutely!
I don't know why American man seem to think that only tall, thin, blonde women with starving eyes are attractive. Uma Thurman is cool, but she looks like a 16-year-old boy. (at least in this film)

Watching this movie.......the only thing that kept resonating in my head was how Jeanne was very pretty and appealing and how a guy would be crazy not to see that!!!!! It was not believable for the very fact that Uma had nothing on her.

Sorry Uma........I still love you.

Most definitly Janeane is the prettier but Uma is considered beautiful because she's tall with big boobs.

Janeane used to be quite "sized." But alas, a reduct. Must have had back problems.

I found Garafalo very attractive in this movie. Everyone talks about her eyes, which are great, but she has a beautiful mouth... nice teeth, lips, smile.

I think this is a very underated movie. It is extremely well-written and Everyone is great in it. I especially loved Garafalo's acting. I'm surprised she hasn't done more. She was perfect in this.

Uma is okay looking. I have never understood why Janeane always plays the plain girl, she's very pretty.

Even before this movie, in Janeane's stand-up this perception of her lack of beauty was a mainstay. I think a lot of people thought she was cuter than Uma.

You guys are just kidding....right? You're trying to convince me that Uma Thurman is less attractive to men than Janeane Garofalo. Jeaneane is great; she's funny, smart and very attractive. But, come on, UMA THURMAN! I can understand women who would like Uma less...wonder why? But men? No way, I don't believe it. The "whipped" might SAY that but if they got a shot at Uma they would run right over Garofalo to get to her. Garofalo knows that too.

I have always thought Uma Thurman played white trash bimbos so well because she was a good actress. Then I saw her in this and I realized that she acts like what she is -- a white trash bimbo. The other actress is much more attractive.

Honestly yes Uma Thurman is less attractive to me than Janeane Garofalo. Look at them both today, Janeane is sexy with her tattoos and dark hair and glasses, Uma is looking old and withered and after Kill Bill I just don't find her sexy at all, particularly that shot of her nasty ass feet in Kill Bill vol 1. clinched it for me. Id much rather be with Janeane.. however, if you made me choose between her and a truly sexy blonde woman like Scarlet Johanssen..that would make it a very difficult decision and i'd have to considering jumping on Scarlet instead, but Uma Thurman is nothing special.

scorch1-1: Sorry, but I have never found Uma to be attractive, and would choose Janeane over Uma hands down, without hesitation; not only for looks, but personality as well. I have allways found Janeane to be a pretty woman. BTW Uma I kinda funny looking.

For the record I'm a man.

Janeane Garofalo is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. I'd kill for a chance to meet her. And I'm not "whipped."
