Sequel? (Spoilers)

Does anyone know why they didnt make Part II? The game ends with Drew going back, to stop the bad guy. Did they plan a sequel, or did they just want to end the game that way?

They planned a sequel...Sadly, it never got published...

The reason a Sequel didnt come out was the fact that sales of Toonstruck were very poor when it came out, though it did pick up sales when it hit the Budget release stage but it still never made enough money to recoup the costs of making the game. Also FMV based games were coming to an End in 1996 which could have also contributed. The company Burst software that created the game didnt seem to last too long as far as i know this was their only game release and after that they were dissolved. Im unsure who holds the rights to the game now.

Its a real shame. Unfortunately though its a kind of game that you really have no idea from the cover exactly how fantastic it is. I was fortunate in that I played the demo (which wasnt exactly easy to come by like most games) and loved it, the full game being so many magnitudes better.

I am still introducing this game to new audiences on old computers who love it, despite its dated graphical quality.

Still, this game must have cost a fortune to make so nothing short of massive hit would recoup the costs. Its a shame it wasnt publicised better.
